The historic Merrimon-Wynne home was open during the Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour December 12-13. First built in 1875 and home to some of North Carolina's most prominent citizens, the house was moved in August 2008 from 526 N. Wilmington St. to 500 N. Blount St.
